Icarus Ku

never thinking
so low before,
fire on the Horizon

~

common sense fritters away,
ancient sunlight escapes
in a sea of fire

~

disgrace sticks like oil,
a cash dispersant sprays

~

a grave reach
brings death to life

~

concentration
on oil
in the bayou

~

a laughing gull
plunges
in a black sea

This one goes straight to the heat. Thank you. And ouch. A needed grief.
