White-Throated Sparrow

Light snowfall starts at dusk,
dusting boughs on the evergreens,
accenting the decks outer edge,
during the night the snow heavies up,

the dusting grows to pillows, the accent
is a drift. Close to the wall it's a great day
for a white-throated sparrow, it joins a gaggle
of seeders harvesting the feeder spillover,

a ground-scratcher's line dance,
the best peckings in the neighborhood,
then the weather changes.

Crisp images! Although, I really don't want to think about snow right now! LOL

I'll come back and re-read this when the weather changes! :) Vividly readable.

I enjoyed this a lot, I love the line 'the ground-scratchers line dance'
